IT Support Technician Administrative

Ogunquit Playhouse is looking for an IT Support Technician to join the IT department. This is a part-time, onsite position. This position is for 3 days during the work week (Mon-Fri), 6-8 hours a day. The schedule for these specific days is flexible, but firm once set. There may be opportunities for additional hours or days if need arises, including the occasional weekend shift. This position pays $22 per hour, eligible for Earned Paid Leave and 403b, and can either be seasonal (ending in November) or year-round.

Summary
The IT Support Technician will report directly to the IT Manager and will assist with aspects of the IT infrastructure and end user support, acting as a liaison for system and software functionality at the Ogunquit Playhouse and its properties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support for all PC desktops, laptops, printers, phones, POS systems, projectors, and copy machines
  • Knowledge of Mac OS a plus
  • Liaison between staff and all systems and software functionality
  • New employee/user computer set up and IT onboarding
  • Set up and support mobile devices used within organization
  • Provide support for projector setup and video conferencing
  • Provide training on hardware, software and services as needed
  • Oversees and responds to IT helpdesk requests in a timely fashion
    • Documents, tracks, and monitors problems via a ticketing system
  • Escalates problems in a timely manner as needed to the IT Manager
  • Communicates effectively with staff to identify problems, relay information, and provide timely updates
  • Assists IT Manager with:
    • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
    • New application roll-out support
    • Network and system troubleshooting
    • Hardware maintenance and upgrades
    • Antivirus management and support
    • File permissions and file sharing
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, knowledge, and skills

  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Google services
  • Working knowledge of network services such as TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, DHCP
  • Knowledge of Android and iOS mobile operating systems
  • Desired working knowledge of: Square Point of Sale, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Active Directory
  • Good organizational skills, prioritizing, and multitasking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter and reliable. Able to function well in a team environment

Education / Experience

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or similar field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Certifications are a plus such as A+, Network+, MCSA, MCSE
  • Knowledge of theater networking/IT operations is a plus
