How to find us

In the quaint, bustling seaside town of Ogunquit, The Playhouse is an attraction you can’t miss. Located on Route 1, the main causeway through coastal Maine, you can reach us by car, train, bus, or plane.

Getting here

Amtrak’s Downeaster line arrives just 15 min north at the Wells Regional Transportation Center. C&J Bus arrives 20 min south at the Portsmouth Transportation Center, located next to the Pease International Airport. Two other airport options are Logan International 75 min south in Boston and Portland International 42 min north in Portland, ME. Uber, Lyft, and cabs all service Oguqnuit and its 20 5-Star hotels and resorts. Free parking is always available at The Playhouse and we are within walking distance from Ogunquit’s downtown shopping and dining district.

Venue details

Entry to the theater is available by scanning tickets on your mobile device, or a printed copy you may bring from home. If you forget your tickets, not to worry. Our Box Office is happy to reprint them for you.

Beverages and snacks are sold in The Lobby, Gazebo Bar, and Patio Bar. You must be at least 21 years old with a valid ID to purchase and consume alcohol. We reserve the right to refuse service to individuals who are visibly intoxicated. Our lobby Gift Kiosk sells Playhouse branded merchandise and other show-specific specialties.

Purchases can be made credit or debit card. No cash.

Restroom facilities are available in our Lobby and a separate building next to the Gazebo Bar.

Our theater is air-conditioned in the Summer and heated in the Fall.

At the discretion of our cast members, Stage Door opportunities may be available outside on the patio (house right) following the performance.

Accessibility Information

The enjoyment of your visit is important to us and we strive to make The Playhouse experience equally accessible to all guests. From handicapped parking, seating, and restrooms, to assistive listening options for the deaf and hard of hearing, our staff and volunteers are always available to assist with any accommodation needs you may have.
