Helpful visitor information
Everything you need to know to enjoy your visit to The Playhouse
Accessibility
Handicapped Parking
Upon entering the campus, handicapped parking is located to your right. Special parking placards must be displayed as you arrive so our parking attendants can direct you. Because this a short walk to the front doors, we encourage dropoffs and pickups at our Lobby entrance for guests with limited mobility.
Wheelchair Seating
Seating for patrons in wheelchairs can be purchased by calling our Box Office (207.646.5511). Guests using walkers, rollers, and other mobility devices can purchase regular seating. Our ushers are happy to help you get seated and store those devices during the performance.
Comfort Seating
For guests who find our seats restrictive and uncomfortable, comfort seating (chairs without armrests) are available for purchase in the wheelchair identified spaces of Rows I and Y. Call the Box Office for more details and to purchase.
Assisted Listening Devices
Headphones that isolate and boost the stage audio, and Hearing Loops that feed boosted audio to your existing compatible hearing aids are available at the Patron Services desk free of charge before each performance.
Open Captioned Performances
During the fourth week of each production, dialogue and lyrics are shown on monitors flanking both sides of the stage. These performances are noted on the season schedule with an OC symbol.
Seating Visibility
If you have difficulty seeing the stage from where you are seated, please alert one of our Ushers or House Managers. They can offer you a seat cushion to elevate your view or may be able to relocate you to another seat with better visibility.
For Your Visit
Parking
Our campus opens one hour prior to each performance and parking is free. Due to the volume of cars being parked, most will be unable to exit until after the performance. Those requiring more flexibility with parking can utilized various paid lots in Ogunquit within walking distance of The Playhouse.
Handicapped parking is located to the right of the main entrance with dropoffs and pickups availble in the circle drive before and after each performance. Veteran’s parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Volunteers are happy to assist you with any parking needs.
If you are not already holding tickets for the performance, you may only park in the designated BOX OFFICE spot. Attempting to park in any of our lots without tickets will prevent you from leaving until the end of the show.
View a map of our car park here.

Policies & Guidelines
Our mainstage productions often contain mature content, language, and themes that may not be suitable for all children. We leave it up to parents and families to determine what is appropriate for their young ones.
Full paid admission is required for ages 4 and above. Children under the age of 3 are free, so long as they remain on the lap of a parent or guardian.
Service animals are welcome. We ask you to inform the Box Office when purchasing tickets so they can prepare the Front of House team for your arrival.
Ogunquit Playhouse wants every guest who attends our performances to enjoy themselves. Anyone disrupting or hindering that enjoyment will be removed from the venue at the discretion of House Management.
Performance Run Times
Running times vary by production and can be found on each show page.
Seating Visibility
In cases where a tall person is seated in front of you making it challenging to see the stage, please locate a House Manager (wearing black vest) who can get you a seat cushion to elevate your view or potentially relocate you to other open seats without viewing obstructions.

Photos may be taken before and after a show, but are strictly prohibited during the performance itself.
